Stranded Assets: Research Gaps and Implications for Climate Policy

Our new paper in Review of Environmental Economics and Policy is out.

We argue that
1. Climate econ should think more about politico-economic and distributional consequences of asset stranding
2. Stranded assets can cause political barriers for climate policy
3. Policy makers should target durable capital stocks.
