Steering the Green Transition
Our PECan Workshop on September 26th was a great success. We had a mix of scientific presentations, interactive sessions on our transition scenario work and a great panel discussion with practitioners.
Matthias Kalkuhl (MCC), Anders Leverman (PIK), Emanuele Campiglio (University Bologna), Anne Schönauer and Marc Bohnet (HU), Lena Klaaßen (ETH Zürich) and Fabiola Schneider (Dublin City University) presented current work including macroeconomic and corporate implications of climate risks (both physical and transitional).
In interactive sessions we recieved valuable input on our ongoing work on transition scenarios, where we systematically capture interdependencies between important climate-, financial-, economic- and political factors.
We also had the chance to discuss green financial regulation, disclosure requirements and other possible measures to facilitate a green transition from a practitioner´s perspective. The panel dicussion with Gunter Greiner (WIWIN), Matthias Meitner (Valuesque), Kirsten Baumbach (Bundesbank) and Jakob Thomä (Theia Finance Labs) granted us great insights.
